. ... :| rules of noisePlay |: ... .

the rules are — there are no rules ::: there are only recommendations + items for consideration :

keep it simple |: ... .
especially for the initial upload of 'raw' files to noiseAnonymous, it is most adventageous to record + contribute files that are short + sweet ::: either something that can be looped or used as a sound flourish ::: just keep in mind that you are _not_ creating the finished work here — just one of the many source files that might or might not be incorporated into the final noiseComposition

experiment |: ... .
please keep in mind that we may or may not be creating something that could be considered a 'song' ::: the nature of noiseAnonymous is to promote 'noise' or 'sound' — and although 'song' can be a subset of 'noise', the emphasis here will be to create interesting and experimental sound pieces that may be more linear in nature, less verse, chorus and bridge oriented { although some pieces may turn out to be song-like in many ways | 'songs' are not completely ruled out }

noisePlay |: ... .
there truly are no 'rules' here ::: noiseAnonymous will look into the copyright limitations of these pieces and hopes that most of the sound contributions will be original pieces, recorded using home studio equipment ::: however, since the end results of each composition will never be sold for profit, some minor sources or snippets from movies, television or other audio recordings could be incorporated if used in a playful + creative manner ::: the online + automated noiseAnonymous staff will ultimately be the judge of what 'makes the cut', and this third note may be changed in the near future depending upon our research, however, we aim to encourage pieces that 'sound' interesting + experimental in nature

. ... :| soundfile types + sizes |: ... .

although there are no rules — the recommended file-size for noiseAnonymous initial raw file submissions is under 10MB ::: please keep your sound recordings at the utmost quality levels — 44 KHz 16 bit stereo audio wave files are preferred { other filetypes, shapes + sizes will be listened to + incorporated into collaborative noiseAnonymous processes depending upon potential of the individual track }

other notes |: ... .
noiseAnonymous will eventually post a short list of some of the applications one could use to record + add to or manipulate sound files with ::: we will probably endorse applications that are low-cost or free to download to promote the open, experimental nature of collaboration on noiseAnonymous

files can be up to 1 GB in size, however, keep in mind that noiseAnonymous will likely pick audio files that conserve space but remain hi fi in sound quality + collaborative potential ::: thank you for any submissions in advance + we look forward to working with you
